I think these picture show it.
{Thanks Matty, I stole them from your facebook}

Christmas Eve 2009

Hello dearest familia!
Here are a bunch of family pictures from our Christmas Eve SPECTACULAR! This is one of my favorite traditions we do as a family. I love re-enacting the Nativity with all the cute little nieces and nephews (I remember when I used to do that), I love decorating the ice cream cone Christmas Trees and I just LOVE being with all of you.

Family Christmas Party ~ 2009

I always look forward to the Family Christmas Party! (I look forward to any party with my family). We had a great lunch with A LOT of great food and treats and of course we had the usual activities - indoor soccer, basketball, White Elephant gift exchange and it wouldn't be a Paskett Family party without SOCK WARS!

On the 2nd day of Christmas my true love gave to me...
2 beautiful girls and a cute Christmas blanket

the infamous gift exchange... I think everyone went home happy.

How does Matt always get the best white elephant gifts? Last year it was the expensive pair of red underwear, this year it was $399 crinkled up dollar bills. Lucky!
(Side Note: Colton actually owed Matt for buying his annual ski pass. Matt gave Colton the "nephew deal" on the pass for $399 instead of $400).

SoCK WaRs!!!

Llama face!

From Disney's The Emperor's New Groove:

Pacha: Emperor Kuzco?
Kuzco: Yeah. Who did you think you were talking to?
Pacha: Um... How did... uh... you don't... *look* like the emperor.
Kuzco: What do you mean I don't look like the emperor?
Pacha: Um... do this.
[wiggles fingers
Kuzco: What is this, some little game you country folk like to play?
[sees his hoofed hand, gasps
Kuzco: Ahh! My face! My beautiful, beautiful face! I'm an ugly, stinky llama! Llama face!

Hiking Y Mountain

In honor of BYU's weekend victory, Matt, Mom & Dad and the Scott Paskett Family decided to hike the Y and pay tribute to the Cougars! (Just kidding - I think they went just for fun.)

Thank You Dad!

(I posted this on my blog but Brooke suggested I post it on the family blog as well. I am sure you all could add to this list.)

My sister recently took the following pictures of my dad (thanks Brooke) and I can't even look at them without welling up. Theses pictures capture my dad PERFECTLY! My dad celebrated his 79th birthday in July (that's right dad... I said it... don't be mad) but for those of you who know my dad, know that he doesn't look or act a day over 65.

I failed to post these pictures in July and I don't want to wait another year before I celebrate what a wonderful man he is.

Thank you for working SO hard and being SO generous.

Thank you for being an example of Christ-like love.

Thank you for always making me feel loved, no matter what I did or do.

Thank you for being patient.

Thank you for never giving up on me, even when I had given up on myself.

Thank you for being so humble.

Thank you for being so tender.

Thank you for always offering lime pie, almonds, fruit, juice or anything you have when anyone comes to visit.

Thank you for taking care of Mistic. She loves you!

Thank you for cherishing the simple things in life, like a box of mints.

Thank you for always chasing the grandkids around the house
(hopefully, one day, you can chase my kids... that's not an announcement).

Thank you for NOT acting your age.

Thank you for saying you love me the most (even though I know you say the same thing to the rest of your kids -I'm okay with that)

I love you VERY much!

Olivia's Baptism

Olivia was baptized on Friday, August 21st.
We are so happy for Olivia and the choice she made to be baptized. We love you!

She could pass as ours, don't you think? (we hope our girls are just as cute!)
